Onion Ear Music Academy is a music education studio built around listening, exploring and creating. We champion a whole-person approach to creative music learning: beyond playing, reading notation and technique, we believe every learner should also improvise, compose and build real musicianship. Our mission is to make music a gateway to creativity, aesthetic sensibility and independent thinking. The studio was founded by Emily Lin, a composer and teaching artist whose work spans film, theatre, games and live performance.
Its flagship product, MusiBop, is an open-and-go card system that gives music teachers the confidence to lead improvisation and composition — in the classroom, the studio and one-to-one lessons. Built on the same Listen–Explore–Create framework, its 120 illustrated cards, Play Guide and digital resources put creativity first, adapting easily across ages and abilities.
