The Music Teachers’ Association is the largest and longest established association of music teachers in the UK, supporting all who are connected with a school music department. It is the mission of the Music Teachers’ Association to provide first-class training, support, and networking opportunities to all those who work in music education. Through our outstanding publications, annual conference and CPD programme, we inspire a membership which passionately believes that schools and their pupils’ lives are deeply enriched by a high quality music provision.
The Music Teachers’ Association (MTA) is the UK’s largest and longest-established subject association for music teachers, striving to support everyone connected with school music departments.
Our year-round programme of professional development which includes CPD webinars, our award-winning podcast, e-bulletins, Ensemble magazine, our Facebook Staffroom, and Annual Conference - helps music teachers connect, exchange ideas, develop their practice, and collaborate with colleagues across the sector.
Working closely with our partner organisations, ISM and Music Mark, we champion and advocate for high-quality music education, united by the belief that every child deserves access to outstanding musical opportunities.
We have also recently launched A Choir in Every School, an exciting national movement that is rapidly gaining momentum across the sector. We invite you to explore the initiative and subscribe to our free newsletter for free resources, inspiration and to get involved.
