Independent Society of Musicians (ISM)

The ISM is the UK's professional body for musicians and a subject association for music. They support over 11,000 members, including peripatetic, private and classroom music teachers, with a unique set of professional services. Membership includes one-to-one legal advice and representation, unpaid fees recovery, essential insurances, useful resources, a DBS checking service, award-winning professional development, enhanced professional status, and much more. The ISM is politically and financially independent, allowing them the freedom to campaign on any issue affecting musicians and music education.
