When and where is the Expo?
The Music & Drama Education Expo Manchester will take place on Wednesday 4 October 2017 at Hilton Manchester Deansgate. Click here for directions.
How do I get there?
Public Transport: Nearest train station is Deansgate which is a five minute walk from the venue. Manchester Piccadilly is in theory a 5 minute taxi ride from the Hilton, but we recommend you allow at least 20 minutes in rush-hour traffic. Uber operates on a large scale in Manchester.
Parking: The Hilton doesn’t have its own car park, but 24hr parking is available at the NCP Car Park in the Great Northern Warehouse (which is opposite the hotel): Gt Northern Warehouse, Great Bridgewater Street, Manchester, M3 4EE. Visitors using the car park can have their ticket validated at the Hilton’s hotel reception (on the ground floor) to receive a 15% discount. Further information on the car park, rates, and online booking facilities are here.
What are the catering options?
There’s a cafe and bar area on the show floor (in the foyer) serving tea, coffee, sandwiches and snacks – perfect for lunch on-the-go.
For those preferring more of a sit-down affair, the Hilton’s Podium Restaurant (on the ground floor) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu based on local and seasonal ingredients.
Cocktails in the clouds
Post-conference cocktails? If you’re in the mood for a post-Expo treat, the Hilton’s Cloud 23 bar (housed on…you’ve guessed it…the 23rd floor!) boasts stunning city views and an extensive cocktail menu.
If you’re making a day and an evening of your visit, there are some great eateries in the nearby Great Northern Warehouse.
Or head over to Manchester’s beating culinary (and social) heart in the lively Northern Quarter, where drinks, music and good times abound!
How much does it cost to come to the Expo?
Entry to the Expo is free for those who have registered online, and £25 to those who turn up on the day.
How do I get a ticket?
You can get a ticket by clicking here and following the instructions on screen. You will then receive an email with your ticket, which you will need to bring with you on the day to gain entry to the event, either as a print out or on your phone.
Do I need to register for individual sessions?
No, places at sessions are allocated on a first come first serve basis at the time of the session.
When do I need to arrive?
