“Be not afraid of greatness”: Approaching Shakespeare’s language

This 45 minute session will give you a practical and inclusive toolkit to tackle Shakespeare's texts, give your students ownership of the language and inspire them to create complex and engaging characters. It will include different approaches to appeal to a range of learning styles, including young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Delivered by the Shakespeare Schools Foundation. [KS2, KS3, KS4]

  • Feel more confident working with Shakespearean texts
  • Learn active approaches to unlocking Shakespeare’s language
  • Learn how to make exercises accessible for different learners
  • Explore what it feels like to take risks and how to encourage this in students
